Carl Sassenrath's career began in broadcast television, directing news, commercials, and local programming at an ABC affiliate. He then spent four decades at the forefront of computing technology. He has now come full circle, founding a Nevada-based production studio to write and produce prestige historical dramas, applying a systems architect's discipline to the craft where he started.
Over his technical career, Sassenrath pioneered multitasking for personal computers, designed a next-generation operating system at Apple Computer, architected one of the first home entertainment platforms, and spent 13 years as a Principal Engineer at Roku designing streaming devices used by millions. Across that career, he designed and wrote hundreds of complex software systems where every component had to work together with precision and purpose. [Full Background]
